Golden Delicious

golden delicious can with apples

Beer Style: Tripel
IBU: 35
OG: 20P
ABV: 10%
Hops: Simcoe, Cascade, Amarillo
Malts: Canadian 2-Row

There’s nothing quite like Mom’s apple pie…but I’m willing to bet this beer’s pretty darn close. An American Tripel, dry-hoped with Amarillo hop and aged in Apple Brandy oak barrels from one of this country’s oldest distilleries. The tropical aroma of the hops and the delicate apple aroma from the barrels are a perfect match. Straight from the Captain’s cellar to yours, we hope you enjoy.

Sensory Profile

Sensory Profile

Ripe tropical fruit, green apples and vanilla dominate the aromas of this beer. The flavors are a lot of the same, rich malt, complex fruits and a hint of oak from the Apple Brandy Barrel used to age the beer.
Food Pairing

Food Pairing

This beer should be enjoyed as either an aperitif or an after dinner drink on its own… but a slice of apple pie would work just as well.
