Captain Lawrence Brewing Co. has been a local craft brewery in Westchester County NY for 10 years. The brewery led by brew master/owner Scott Vaccaro has grown from distributing here in Westchester & NYC to all over New York State, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Virginia. The Beer hall is the epicenter of where loyal customers both new and old come to try the ever changing lineup of ales and enjoy the beer oriented atmosphere. Being in its 5th year in Elmsford NY, the brewery has finished building out its very own kitchen to start selling food during normal hours and enhancing the already booming private event business. The plan is to have a locally sourced and seasonal menu concept that will pair well with our all of our beer offerings. An already thriving business between the beer hall and beer garden, we aim to make the brewery the best local hang out spot and a destination venue for all of our out of town guests.
The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for someone with a creative mind who can come up with multiple menus while having an understanding of business practices including costs, staffing and inventory control. A hard worker who enjoys his work and can keep a cool head under pressure. Has experience in managing others while being able to teach and train. Must have at least 2 years of management experience and 3 or more years cooking on the line and at least 3 years catering experience. 5 day work week (full time)
Menu design & Staff training both FOH and BOH
Ordering, receiving, prep, service
Inventory cost and control (manage vendor relationships)
Managing other kitchen staff and wait staff (private events) training
Private party menus, pricing, inventory control, party prep, service
Other brewery events, menus, pricing, inventory, prep, service
Maintain kitchen cleanliness and maintenance on equipment
Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays
